LGBTQIA+

Individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community face unique challenges and mental health disparities. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), LGBTQIA+ individuals are at a higher risk for mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, suicidality, and substance abuse compared to their heterosexual counterparts. For instance, LGBTQIA+ youth are four times more likely to attempt suicide than their peers, as reported by The Trevor Project.

As a queer therapist, I recognize the critical importance of finding a provider who understands and validates the experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community. Therapy with a queer provider offers a safe and affirming space where individuals can explore the complex issues of being queer without fear of judgment or stigma.

Whether you're navigating the process of coming out, addressing internalized oppression, or seeking to actualize your authentic sense of self, I am here to support you every step of the way. My practice is dedicated to providing LGBTQIA+ individuals with the culturally competent care they deserve, where you can be seen authentically and understood without having to educate your therapist on your lived experiences.

Together, we can work towards healing, growth, and empowerment in a space where your identity is celebrated, and your mental health is prioritized.
